Saturday, October 1st, 2022. 11:00 a.m. CST | The Most Important Choice of Your Writing Career: Mindset | FREE Virtual Workshop as part of WriteHiveLite. Registration Required.
WriteHive Lite is a FREE, virtual writing retreat held annually in October. During the two-day event, attendees have the opportunity to connect with other serious writers, hone their craft, and receive expert instruction from professional editors. It’s also perfect for writers who need a set time to sit and focus on writing or revising. You do not need a finished manuscript to apply! Writers are welcome no matter where they are in the process.
The WriteHive Lite writing retreat is open to all who apply. There will be four editor-led classes during the weekend. Time will be set aside for writing or revising sprints as well. Forty applicants will be chosen by the editors to receive a personal 30-minute consultation, which can be on craft questions, brainstorming, 5-page critiques, or answering industry questions.
Thursday, November 17th– Sunday, November 20th | TCA is offering sessions as part of Johnson County Library’s FREE hybrid (virtual and in-person) writers conference.
The 7th Annual Writers Conference will have online offerings via Library OnDemand and in-person sessions at Central Resource Library. We will explore art for impact at this year’s conference. What does it mean to put your writing into the world? How does it transform your own story and the story of those you love? Impact is both personal and universal: it can mean individual epiphany or global change.
