What Jessica will be talking about: Sharing a manuscript and asking for feedback can be daunting, but when you have the right beta readers, you can gain insights that will help you improve your manuscript exponentially. This stage of revision allows you to learn where your story can improve, what you are doing well, and if your manuscript is coming across the way you intended.

This class is a deep dive into everything you want to know about beta readers.

When: Thursday, March 28, 2024. 6:30 p.m. –  8 p.m. CST

How to Join:  Register now through Mid-Continent Public library’s story center! Registration required.

This program will take place both in-person in the MCPL Story Center Historic Home and virtually via ZOOM. Choose your format and register the number of guests in your party. Space is limited.

What Jessica will be talking about: A sustainable writing career requires more than good writing, it requires an understanding of the industry and a consistent investment of time in your writing business. This workshop lays a foundation of effective, sustainable, long-term business practices for writers. Author coach Jessica Conoley will discuss an Authorpreneur’s mindset, time-blocking & marketing efficiently, & business basics like: book-keeping, when to look at setting up a business structure (i.e. LLC, corporation, etc.), & finding the right business partners.
